Our outstanding accommodation is but a piece in the Plumwood Inn encounter and is offered in three alternate varieties, catering to the classical cottage-style or more modern tastes of guests. Be it in the four rooms of the Main House or the seven rooms in the more contemporary, modern-styled Villas – all rooms boast the same luxuries and offer an exceptional sense of unique style and elegant design.
After awakening to glorious views and birdsong, a plentiful and splendid breakfast can be enjoyed alfresco on the sunny terrace overlooking the pool or in the elegant breakfast area.
Please note that NO CHILDREN under 18 are allowed in the guesthouse.
A scenic 2 minute stroll will land you in the Franschhoek village centre – an area alive with places to enjoy finest wining and dining in the country.
Enjoy vineyards that date back to over 300 years old, and are steeped in French Huguenot history. Franschhoek lies on the banks of the Berg River against the backdrop of the towering Franschhoek and Drakenstein Mountains. This dramatic setting frames the beauty of rolling vineyards and the pretty town.
The village also features numerous art galleries and boutique shops, a sure delight to a shopper’s heart. The Saturday Village Market is also a must with wine, good food, numerous stalls and great entertainment in the form of live music.
For wine lovers there is the famous Wine Tram, where you can enjoy the ride and taste many of Franschhoek’s finest wines at the Wine Estates.

Mooi hotel, prachtige ruime kamer. Geweldige verzorging, wat wil je ook met twee Limburgers 😉
Heerlijk, gevarieerd ontbijt, met voor elk wat wils.
Goede uitvalsbasis voor de wijnstreek, en mooie restaurants op loopafstand.

Gastheer en gastvrouw hebben ons ontvangen als vips, veel uitleg gekregen over de streek en het stadje.
Zeer mooie en moderne kamer met een mooi uitzicht op de bergen, tuin en het zwembad.
Ontbijt met verse pistoletjes was een verrassing en het heeft ons gesmaakt.
Zeker een aanrader.

Mooie accommodatie, vriendelijk en gastvrij ontvangst, smalle steile trap naar boven met de koffers was wel zwaar. Voor ouderen is dan een accommodatie begane grond wel fijn. Uitgebreid en heerlijk ontbijt.
