The Nungubane Game Lodge is situated in the malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. This 36 000ha game reserve is home to the Big 5 including White Rhino as well as many species of antelope and a rich variety of other animals and birds. The exclusive lodge only accommodates ten guests at a time in their 5 luxurious double chalets. The spacious chalets overlook the reserve from individual decks and the rooms are stylishly appointed with every comfort you could ask for.

Game Drives
From Johannesburg: Take the N1 highway towards Pietersburg to the Kranskop Toll Plaza. At the Toll Plaza follow the Nylstroom off-ramp. Continue through Nylstroom, carry on through Vaalwater and continue to the Main Gate – 26km from Vaalwater. Do not enter the Main Gate but rather continue on until the Schoongelegen turn-off (22.5kms). Turn left to Schoongelegen and continue on a sand road to the West Gate (16.5kms). Enter at the West Gate (be sure not to enter at the contractors gate). Secure parking is provided at the West Gate and a vehicle will transport you to the private game lodge. Important Information Relating to Arrival and Departure: On arrival guests are required to leave their vehicles in the secure parking area at the West Gate or the Main Gate. No private vehicles are allowed on the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve. Please contact ahead of your trip to confirm which gate you will be collected from and at what time.
