HillsNek Safaris is an exclusive-use, luxury tented camp positioned on the banks of the Bushman s River. Situated in a tucked away corner of the Amakhala Big 5 Game Reserve, the lodge is 70km's from Port Elizabeth in the malaria-free Eastern Cape. An abundant variety of wildlife includes white and black rhino, elephant, giraffe, cheetah, lion, buffalo, zebra and a myriad of plains game.
The stone, canvas and thatched main lodge is at the heart of the camp, with three private safari tents elevated on wooden decks that enhance the spectacular views of surrounding plains and bush. Our core conservation efforts include that of the White Rhino and Palaeontology, as HillsNek is home to the first dinosaur fossil discovery in South Africa, the Cape Iguanodon.
