Directions to Likweti Lodge & Sanctuary
From Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport
Exit Airport car park and continue to traffic circle. Turn left onto R538. Likweti Lodge & Sanctuary entrance gate is approx. 800m down the road on the right.
From Johannesburg
Recommended route:
Take N12 past Benoni towards Witbank (now known as eMalahleni). N12 become the N4 toll road. Continue along N4. Pass through the Middleburg Toll Plaza (between Witbank and Middelburg). Continue travelling along N4. Pass through the Machadodorp Toll Plaza (between Machadodorp and Waterval Boven). Continue until you reach Nelspruit town. Travel through town – following the direction signs to the N4 – and link back onto the N4 toll road to Maputo. Continue along N4 until R538 turn off to the left, just before Karino. Turn left and continue along R538. Cross over 4-way stop and continue along R538 for approx. 11km. Likweti Lodge & Sanctuary entrance gate is on the left.
New Northern Bypass (ring round around Nelspruit) alternate route:
The recently opened Northern Bypass is approx. 7.2km before you reach Nelspruit. There are three signs indicating the new bypass which you need to look out for as you approach Nelspruit. Should you prefer to take this ring road rather than go through Nelspruit town, follow the signs indicating Northern Bypass.
From Nelspruit
Travel through town and link back onto N4 toll road to Maputo. Continue along N4 until R538 turn off to the left, just before Karino. Turn left and continue along R538. Cross over 4-way stop and continue along R538 for approx. 11km. Likweti Lodge & Sanctuary entrance gate is on the left.
Check In
Check in time is 14h00 on the day of arrival and guests are required to check in at Reception which is located at Likweti Lodge, whether staying at Likweti Lodge or one of the self catering camps. Likweti Lodge is 6km from the entrance gate, a 20 - 25 minute drive along well maintained gravel roads at the required 20km per hour speed limit. Check out time is 11h00 on the day of departure. Early and/or late check in and/or check out need to be arranged with Reservations prior to arrival.
