Lukimibi Safari Lodge is a luxury safari lodge situated in the easily accessible southern portion of the Kruger National Park. This is a magnificent 15 000 hectare wilderness concession, where the Big Five and a wide variety of animals roam in their natural habitat.
Raised walkways lead guests to 16 spacious suites, all combining luxury and modern African decor with stunning river views. The Giant Eagle Owl Suite and King Cheetah Suite also have a private pool, diningroom and second bathroom. All suites are air-conditioned, have fans, safes, mini bars, as well as tea and coffee facilities. Private decks leading out towards the river provide the ideal place to relax or enjoy bird spotting and game viewing in peace and tranquility.
Lukimbi is an area steeped in history. Still clearly seen running through the concession today is the old tradng road to Mozambique used by ox wagon transporters carrying goods to and from the coast. This route went into iduse when the area was declared a conservation area and National Park.
The lodge features carved plaster panels shwoing intricate mystical creaturs and African aptterns, in a subtle yet extremely decorative way. The stunning main buildings are linked together by open wooden decks, amking the most of the view, as the lodge meanders along the banks of the river Lwakahle. The designer interior combines colours and specially created pieces artistically and imgainatvely, with something different and interesting to look at round every corner. Lukimbi is a photographer's delight, both inside the surrounds of the lodge and out in the beckoning bush.
