ACCOMMODATION
Cheetah Plains strives to embrace a contemporary ethnic design, with 8 elegantly decorated chalets nestled into the indigenous gardens of the camp. The traditionally thatched accommodation blends seamlessly into the African bush, creating a harmonious flow between pampered relaxation and the raw South African bushveld.
Each of the calming en-suite rooms feature modern amenities including air conditioning, overhead fans, mosquito nets and telephones. The chalets all flow onto the indigenous gardens and their wild surroundings.

MORNING DRIVES
An early morning wake up call will awaken you to the magic of an African sunrise. The bushveld surrounds will also be waking up for the day, or settling down for a laze in the shade after a hard night's hunting.
A tracker and qualified ranger will take you through the reserve in specially equipped game drive vehicles and do their utmost to give you the finest game viewing opportunities.
VILLAGE TRIPS
Cheetah Plains is actively involved in the surrounding local communities of Utah and Dixie. Guests are offered the opportunity to visit these neighbouring villages and gain insight into the rural South African way of life.
From meeting the village elders to seeing the schools, the exuberance and enthusiasm of the villagers is often catching.
EVENING GAME DRIVES
Setting out into the bushveld as the breathtaking African sun starts to set is the perfect time to spot the predators that prowl the Cheetah Plains.
A qualified guide and tracker will be on hand to find any elusive creatures. Stopping for a sundowner, you will have the opportunity to take in the dramatic African sunset view.
ROAD TRAVEL
Recommended self-drive route from Johannesburg:
Depart Johannesburg via the N12 highway and continue to Witbank which then becomes the N4 highway, continue straight, through Middelburg and on towards Belfast. Switch to the R540 to Dullstroom, continue on through Lydenburg, Origstad and through the Strydom tunnel. On approaching Hoedspruit take the R531 to Klaserie, Acornhoek and then follow the signs for Sabi Sand to Gowrie gate. Follow directional signs to the camp. Cheetah Plains is approximately 12 kilometres from Gowrie Gate.
Recommended self-drive route from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport:
Take the R40 to White River, Hazyview, Bushbuck Ridge and Acornhoek. Then follow the signs for Sabi Sand to Gowrie Gate. Follow directional signs to the camp. Cheetah Plains is approximately 12 kilometres from Gowrie Gate. The reserve entrance fee is approximately R110 per vehicle and R20 per person.
