Named from the Shangaan word meaning "roar of the lion" -  Djuma is part of the world-renowned Sabi Sand Game Reserve. This reserve borders on the Kruger National Park. There is no dividing fence between the two reserves and therefore Djuma's 7000 hectare is part of the vast Kruger National Park ecosystem.

HOW TO GET TO THE LODGE
• 1 hr 30 min flight directly from
Johannesburg to the Djuma Private
Game Reserve.
• Complimentary road transfer from the
Djuma airstrip to the lodge.
• 6 hr self drive from Johannesburg to
Djuma Lodge.
• Road transfers or air transfers from
Nelspruit or Hoedspruit Airports.
Recommended ro ute from
Johannesb urg
• Take the N12 to Witbank, then to
Middleburg. Take the R540 to Belfast,
Dullstroom, Lydenburg, Origstad and
through the Strydom Tunnel.
• On approaching Hoedspruit take the R531
to Klaserie, Acornhoek and then follow the
signs for Sabi Sands to Gowrie Gate.
• Entrance is R80 per vehicle.
• Go directly to the camp you are booked
into: Vuyatela and Galago Camp are
2 km from the gate
